The veil for men is a collection I developed during the fashion design 4 course. we were given a theme during the first semester of the third year and the theme that was given was: fashion landscape. I was asked to develop a design that can dialogue with its surroundings. For this project, I started with the burqa and the Parisian men's fashion of the 1960s. in the 1960s, afghan women wore miniskirts and I wanted to reverse the role: today men wear clothes with veils incorporated.
the shooting I did is a location without other people around for a reason: I asked the model if he felt comfortable with people around or in a secluded place, and he requested that we do the shooting at night, in a secluded place.
the aim of the collection is to make men wear "uncomfortable" clothes: both at the level of the landscape around, and with the garment itself: in fact, the garments have no pockets to recall the discomfort women have with the burqa.
